Your Inside Scoop to the Suits and Styles of the ESPN Monday Night Football Analyst Team

The New York Jets, led by QB Trevor Siemian (replaced by Luke Falk after an ankle injury) and RB Le’Veon Bell, succumbed to the Cleveland Browns led by QB Baker Mayfield in a week 2 MNF game on September 16, 2019 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ.  Our own Mark Rykken attended the game with his youngest son, Michael (pictured on left) and spent some time on the field prior to the game.  Asked about a memorable moment, Rykken replied “it was an honor to shake the hands of several of New York’s finest and thank them for their service, ” referring to the staging in the tunnel of the NYPD and FDNY prior to carrying the United States flag as part of the opening ceremony.  It was a special game – celebrating the 50th anniversary of Monday Night Football and including flashbacks to the original game and images from 1970.  Britches Bespoke is so proud to be a part of this history and legacy.

In the booth, the ESPN Monday Night Football announcing and analyst team once again brought the heat in their custom Britches Bespoke suits.  Here is what they wore:

Joe Tessitore – Play by Play Announcer (pictured here with UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic)

Joe’s suit was charcoal grey with a subtle 1” bead stripe. His shirt – white with a ¼” grey stripe, and his tie was purple with a generously spaced navy and grey foulard pattern. Bringing it together, his pocket square was grey with a white border. Again, Joe was dressed in a high contrast combination that mimics the contrast between his hair color and skin tone.

Booger McFarland – Analyst (pictured here with UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic)

Booger wore a navy suit with a self-herringbone pattern that you wouldn’t really see unless you were standing very close to him. His shirt was a bold navy and white antique stripe shirt, and his tie was deep wine with a navy geometric pattern in it. His pocket square was white with a navy border. Just like last week, the bold high contrast stripe shirt that Booger was wearing helped to frame his face and really highlights that his infectious smile.

John Parry – Officiating and Rules Analyst (and the hardest to get on-camera!)

John’s was wearing a beautiful blue/grey glen plaid suit with a light blue window pane overcheck. His shirt was a solid medium blue, and his tie was light brown with a light blue spaced foulard pattern in it. Rounding out the look was a blue pocket square with a white border. As we explained in our initial blog post (see it here if you haven’t read it!), this combination produces very little contrast matching the contrast that’s produced between his hair and skin color, plus the shirt compliments his blue eyes, and the tie matches his hair color.
